These little cuties are made in one hooping and only require a small opening hand sewn up at the end.<br />
<br />
They are my original design so the design is not able to be purchased yet. The white and pink rabbits are made from minky dot fleece and the orange one is from a stretch toweling. The toweling one makes for a lovely wash cloth come bath toy. <br />

It was very hot and the groom fainted due to the heat. Thankfully he recovered very quickly and was whisking his beautiful bride across the dance floor just a few hours later.<br />
<br />
In Chinese culture it is traditional to give a red envelope with cash for the wedding gift. So in keeping with this and adding my own little twist I tried to come up with something special for the happy couple they could use as a keepsake later on.<br />
<br />
I have been dabbling my hand at digitizing machine embroidery and designed an embroidered red satin envelope made completely in the hoop with
no raw edges inside. For the couples privacy I have blurred out their
names.The Love symbol is not mine but came from <a href="http://mygardened.com/">http://www.mygardened.com/</a>. The satin fabric with gold embroidery is beautiful but unfortunately I could not get it to show up very well in the photos.<br />
<br />

I also made the card with some plain white card and an embossing folder. Glued on some pretty rhinestones and finished with ribbon and cute FSL ( free standing lace) hearts from <a href="http://www.cathydefrance.com/free_designs_2.htm">http://www.cathydefrance.com</a>.<br />

My little blog has sadly been neglected for some time.<br />
Rather than begin a new blog I will retain this one and allow it to find
a new direction. It will still be creative but I will share my projects
more for inspiration than as step by step tutorials. This will give me
the freedom to be able share my makes without spending too much
time away from my family.<br />
<br />
Motherhood, school runs, play dates and after school activities certainly take much of my time these days. I do however still sew and get creative whenever opportunity presents itself. I am looking forward to allowing this blog to take on a new adventure.I will be making a few modifications the the layout so if things look a little out of place please be patient as I will fix them as soon as I can.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54490/60/7C613A6126C0290B8C8532361E887185.png" style="border: 0 !important; background: transparent;"/></a></div>SewDelishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09730345691490242924noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-43991972233712126.post-11117223204339384652013-11-08T16:01:00.000+08:002013-11-08T16:01:01.047+08:00Crafting - Make Your Own Gorgeous Twist Ties!These are awesome! I came up with idea when I saw some red and white candy striped twist ties on a party site online. I didn't need several
thousand of the same ones so decided to try and decorate some plain
twist ties I already had. Now I can have them in any colour I like! They are so easy to do even the kids will
enjoy this activity. They are perfect for decorating small gift bags or tying up a biscuit or two for lunches.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmhQCRe0tNZI0-FlUIQG2-qQx7jYHt_2N5ZYdi6OnpHPISqIJ3vgAfO8vo9xEtXMzMdoggarZghAWimvG2ZHRYQ2frXesC67AXqLwYoDcda9TwhsZZGbUo7s0tPrGbth-Yo43BxY_BWg/s1600/Twist+ties+-+supplies.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmhQCRe0tNZI0-FlUIQG2-qQx7jYHt_2N5ZYdi6OnpHPISqIJ3vgAfO8vo9xEtXMzMdoggarZghAWimvG2ZHRYQ2frXesC67AXqLwYoDcda9TwhsZZGbUo7s0tPrGbth-Yo43BxY_BWg/s320/Twist+ties+-+supplies.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
SUPPLIES:<br />
<br />
Plain twist ties - plastic or paper (leave them attached together)<br />
<br />
Markers - Permanent markers are best for plastic, almost anything works for the paper ones (I used sharpies and bic pastel permanent markers)<br />
<br />
Ruler - if you prefer not to draw lines freehand<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhogKDF7CmPCgJU8y0S4EV3ZYj7fLjA1_AQwajbYMZa-H5RzZQv0J4ig2kI2A1TYRcVCBjEXOASxlFKvDWm_DA8R1c0X8mUBLD1daC4ukKcHr1XZGi94hgo2wPt2SZVJcdECuPTKO9YqA/s1600/Twist+ties+-+Marker+stripes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhogKDF7CmPCgJU8y0S4EV3ZYj7fLjA1_AQwajbYMZa-H5RzZQv0J4ig2kI2A1TYRcVCBjEXOASxlFKvDWm_DA8R1c0X8mUBLD1daC4ukKcHr1XZGi94hgo2wPt2SZVJcdECuPTKO9YqA/s320/Twist+ties+-+Marker+stripes.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Draw stripes on the front first, then copy the lines in the same place on the back. My twist ties are slightly transparent so that makes it easy to follow the same pattern on the back. Diagonal and horizontal stripes work really well. It does not matter if the lines are not perfect as you won't even notice after the ties are separated.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNM3T7AjjarPHgH8FNMWd3o1xQQ4YaqlIVYrlNrkmYHUZS_jeEZka7W-e7SCVNVDb2bOWTFxpkq3Y7_hDETV5YbM4GuGXd72Art3rZpcyWbXf9IJ3NiOxgKaPhJ8pO018NiKABDiOceQ/s1600/Twist+ties+striped+with+markers.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNM3T7AjjarPHgH8FNMWd3o1xQQ4YaqlIVYrlNrkmYHUZS_jeEZka7W-e7SCVNVDb2bOWTFxpkq3Y7_hDETV5YbM4GuGXd72Art3rZpcyWbXf9IJ3NiOxgKaPhJ8pO018NiKABDiOceQ/s320/Twist+ties+striped+with+markers.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
VARIATION:<br />
<br />
I decorated this lot of twist ties with alcohol inks. (The Tim Holtz Ranger inks are the ones I have. You can purchase them at scrapbooking stores.) These are much quicker to make than the marker ties above and don't even matter if the front and back do not match.<br />

I put it off for ages as I knew it was going to be a project that once begun it needed to be finished or it would never get done. So much work needed to be done to restore this little chair.<br />
<br />
Here are some photos of the before, during and after process. <br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<br />
Fabric and padding had perished or torn in many places due to all the
love it has received in its time. At one stage our two little
chihuahuas had even claimed it as their own. Much of the chair was
originally just nailed together and this would not work if it were to
survive another decade or so, and one chair leg was broken with another
at an awkward angle. <br />

<br />
I have had a number of requests for more details on how I print and <a href="http://sewdelish.blogspot.com/2011/04/organising-my-cricut-cartridge.html">organise my cricut handbooks</a>, so I have put together a tutorial on how I did this for you. (Click on the images for more detail)<br />
<br />
I only wanted to print out the pages that showed all the different cuts on the cartridges and did not want the instructions or different languages. There are two methods of doing this, the quick method and then my preferred method. My preferred method includes the title of the cartridge and allows you to choose the orientation of the pages and how many pages you want to a sheet.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #8e7cc3;">******************************************************</span></div>
<br />
QUICK METHOD<br />
<br />
<br />
These files have already been organised in a handbook style but many do not always include the title of the cartridge of the first page when you print them out.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPc9vAgffdVsZ1AytebkPExMsURoRv5WbW6zgvzMjfHSupprHGfPXxwemffSYANW6ic87nh9yjbBx3JK0YNu4xjkgtQNU5Cagtxj3YZnb4b4Hjidj9d0KmA1bx1TmnrKE3nzP5Rcg1BQ/s1600/A+childs+year+handbook+preview.JPG"><img alt="Printing and organising cricut cartidge handbooks" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5604755805158180882" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPc9vAgffdVsZ1AytebkPExMsURoRv5WbW6zgvzMjfHSupprHGfPXxwemffSYANW6ic87nh9yjbBx3JK0YNu4xjkgtQNU5Cagtxj3YZnb4b4Hjidj9d0KmA1bx1TmnrKE3nzP5Rcg1BQ/s320/A+childs+year+handbook+preview.JPG" style="cursor: pointer; height: 253px; width: 320px;" title="A Child's Year Handbook Preview" /></a><br />
<br /></div>
1) Visit the cricut message board to this link <a href="http://community.provocraft.com/Cricut-Community_postst10460_PDF-files-of-handbook-pages-6-per-page.aspx">here</a><a href="http://community.provocraft.com/Cricut-Community_postst10460_PDF-files-of-handbook-pages-6-per-page.aspx">.</a> Find the cartridge you are after and locate where to download it from. NOTE: this method automatically print 6 pages per sheet<br />
<br />
2) Download and save to your computer, then simply print out.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #8e7cc3;">******************************************************</span></div>
<span style="color: #8e7cc3;"> </span><br />
MY PREFERRED METHOD FOR PRINTING CARTRIDGE HANDBOOKS<br />
<br />
<br />
1) The cricut cartridge library is no longer available on Provocraft's website. However, if you go to <span class="il">cricut</span> website <a href="http://www.cricut.com/shop" target="_blank">shop</a> you can download the handbook there with a few steps. Search the cartridge you are looking for, click on details link, at the end there will be a "digital <span class="il">handbook</span>" link to click and download. Save it to your computer. <br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAWxkYNyraJvEZY4gQSh7HHTIfsvT3WUqA4cZRL2cT9rsXsN8maEaDLhSrVyScocCF5xEW7h5BC0-jy_vvFM5XtVLdwpjJLPVTWgjqvQtoshg1R3wKHFzxNQSGQiC8NLEkRkxqERa09g/s1600/Download+Cartridge+handbook+from+cricut+shop.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAWxkYNyraJvEZY4gQSh7HHTIfsvT3WUqA4cZRL2cT9rsXsN8maEaDLhSrVyScocCF5xEW7h5BC0-jy_vvFM5XtVLdwpjJLPVTWgjqvQtoshg1R3wKHFzxNQSGQiC8NLEkRkxqERa09g/s320/Download+Cartridge+handbook+from+cricut+shop.JPG" width="279" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Click on image to enlarge.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
NOTE: Some cartridges either do not have a <span class="il">handbook</span> or are not made available. The <span class="il">handbooks</span> are now watermarked to protect provocraft's copyright.<br />
<br />
<br />
2) Open the pdf handbook you need. NOTE: For printing the handbooks Do not look at the page number on the
actual handbook pages but rather the page number of the actual pdf file
at the top as the title is really page1.<br />
Note the page number for the title page (page 1), then search through the handbook for the first page where the cut images begin (note this) and the last page number (note this too) <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
On this example here for Teardrop the first page number we need is 24 but on the handbook pages itself it is noted as 23.<br />

3) To print multiple pages per sheet. Choose to PRINT PAGES then enter the pages numbers you took note of in the previous step.<br />

<br /></div>
I print my handbooks in portrait mode but you can do them in horizontal mode if you want to make the pages larger and easier to read but that will use more paper.<br />
<br />
Check the preview is correct then click OK to begin printing.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #8e7cc3;">******************************************************</span></div>
<br />
<br />
Place all the handbook sheets into clear pockets and then put into a file in alphabetical order. I always begin the first page of each cartridge in a new pocket then then place the following pages back to back.<br />
<br />

<br /></div>
Cut the tabs from Tags, Bags Boxes and More it is cut at 1 and 3/4 inches. It is the mirror tab shape on page 34 of the handbook. I used my gypsy but you can use your cricut to fill the page, Design Studio or Cricut Craft Room. I cut as many as I could fit on a 12 x 12 sheet of each colour:<br />
<br />
I colour co-ordinated mine to match my cartridges<br />
<br />
Orange/peach tabs are for font cartridges<br />
<br />
Blue for shapes cartridges<br />
<br />
Green for lite and seasonal cartridges<br />

Print out your own Cutting guide sheet with your own cricuts settings to keep in the front of your folder. You can find it <a href="http://sewdelish.blogspot.com/2011/06/cricut-freebie-printable-cutting.html">here</a>. I use mine all the time as the settings on my cricut varies from the standard settings.<br />

Unfortunately at the moment the store where I purchased this one from is out of stock. I am looking for other sources as a number of you have placed orders.<br />
<br />
However the store has small numbers of some other designs in stock at the moment. (see below)<br />
Cost for each skin is $3 AUD plus postage and packaging to send to you. Payment via Paypal.<br />
<br />
These photos do not do these laptop skins justice. They are much nicer in person. Click on each image for a closer view.<br />

<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;">This is my Singer 201K from the 1950’s. When I bought it, it had only
been used as a hall table for many years and the machine itself was never used
by the owner. The table was in really good condition and clearly had been
polished regularly. The machine however needed cleaning and the power lead,
pictured below, needed replacing. Thankfully after a good clean and service I
ended up with a great working machine. This tutorial came about because I could not find much information on cleaning these old sewing machines.</span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;"> Here I will share with you how I clean
my machines, no matter how old they are.</span><br />

<li><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;">Remove the needle from the machine as this makes cleaning easier and safer. I was told by my local sewing machine repairer that brass cleaner is much softer on the metal parts and will cause less scratches and wear in the long term.</span><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;"> </span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;">Remove lint from the bobbin
case and under the machine. I use my vacuum cleaner with a tiny computer nozzle
attached to make it easier. Some people use canned air but I don’t like
the dust blowing around getting into places that may cause damage later. I
prefer to get rid of it completely with the vacuum. NOTE: If you find something that looks like a piece
of <b>red felt, LEAVE IT THERE!</b> It is felt and helps to lubricate things.
It is meant to be kept oiled. Do not take it out. <i>The model in the photo

<li><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;">Oil the machine on all the moving parts where
metal touches metal. It also helps to refer to the <b>manual</b> if you
have one for your model. You can find out the model number of your machine
at ISMACS using the serial number which is found on the front base plate
of the machine. This site will also tell you approximately when your
machine was manufactured.</span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;"> </span></li>
<li><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;">Replace all removed parts. Worn bobbin winder

<li><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;">Once you have finished cleaning, the whole
machine can then be given a <b>polish</b> with some machine oil or a wax

I didn't have any car polish. Just be careful over the decals. Do not
allow any oil to come into contact with the rubber bobbin winder </span><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;">tyre</span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;"> or

<li><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;">Any gears on the machine will need to be

<li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;">Inspect any electrical wires and cords if your

replacing, even if it does work! This one has perished from being in the

I have long been admiring the Cricut Machines that you can buy with the lovely decoration on them, but really just can't justify the extra money to just so I can own one of them <br />
<br />
A number of cricut owners have painted their machines with sprays or alcohol inks to make them pretty and many have also cut shapes in vinyl with their cricuts to decorate them. But I really wanted something that I could change if I wanted to without damaging or leaving marks or stains on my cricut. Which didn't leave many options until I found a removable gorgeous laptop skin that would look perfect! This one even has bling on it!<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhS7NeqeW4RPbax70og11MHx7gIuqqUtrn3LoklZp7eViY_doWRweIcz1hVJXTs7lw8VGX-o9Yr6Pme82RMLnVH07AynfEXkLl6Tlk266ozWtzLMEmccBOE0LmRQWhsikqBBE1WK1AhUw/s1600/Cricut+Expression+with+Laptop+Skin+Zoom+IMG_0483.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhS7NeqeW4RPbax70og11MHx7gIuqqUtrn3LoklZp7eViY_doWRweIcz1hVJXTs7lw8VGX-o9Yr6Pme82RMLnVH07AynfEXkLl6Tlk266ozWtzLMEmccBOE0LmRQWhsikqBBE1WK1AhUw/s400/Cricut+Expression+with+Laptop+Skin+Zoom+IMG_0483.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
As you can see the skin was a little too large for the front of the machine, but I used this to my advantage and let it carry on right over the lid. All I did was carefully make a cut in the gap between the lid and front to allow it to open again.<br />

For some reason I forgot to publish the post and pics so here they are. Oops just realised a couple have the wrong watermark too!<br />
<br />
Anyway the first wallet card was made using the template from <a href="http://valitasfreshfolds.blogspot.com/2008/04/mens-wallet-card.html">Valita's Designs</a>. Instead of false stitching though I did real stitching on my sewing machine which was so much easier and quicker to do. It also has the benefit of looking more realistic too. I used cling film to stamp various inks onto brown card to give it the textured and worn appearance of old leather.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTraQWLS8Lqt2-_pHaDkH7riZ_-cDBSxl9myC4uq0BYTCOADf69VcC5IAesKvLQj6S8aXY10LBiownosAhfJjCwym8uVg0Rcg3X8ZsX2zxuqfm5Xw4QZA3HPXtBiHhF_t2SWW2rnHeQA/s1600/Card+Wallet+outside.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Money Cards Wallet Cards Male" border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTraQWLS8Lqt2-_pHaDkH7riZ_-cDBSxl9myC4uq0BYTCOADf69VcC5IAesKvLQj6S8aXY10LBiownosAhfJjCwym8uVg0Rcg3X8ZsX2zxuqfm5Xw4QZA3HPXtBiHhF_t2SWW2rnHeQA/s320/Card+Wallet+outside.jpg" title="Faux Leather Male Wallet Card" width="320" /></a> </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

The wallet closures are made from sticky backed velcro and coloured to match the card with acid free permanent markers.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj329w9HbKCnusNN-3mIVklxiHeR-xQy9DMypXz7_0M3rKTsmaKqT33NPyrEkYVBIJ2x-G-WPUg47hGYUwdMkq9RIEjbf01uSvLIrFCt11mGKcU8-t9z3C8u8NovsVPx6w86V9LrLuIDA/s1600/Card+Wallet+velcro+tab.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Money Cards Wallet Cards Male Velcro " border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj329w9HbKCnusNN-3mIVklxiHeR-xQy9DMypXz7_0M3rKTsmaKqT33NPyrEkYVBIJ2x-G-WPUg47hGYUwdMkq9RIEjbf01uSvLIrFCt11mGKcU8-t9z3C8u8NovsVPx6w86V9LrLuIDA/s320/Card+Wallet+velcro+tab.jpg" title="Male Wallet Card Velcro Closure" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
I have since modified a few things on the template so I can make use of only one A4 sheet of card. My template also has a double closure that holds the card open and still looks like a closed wallet at the same time. These wallet cards were brighter as they were intended for children.<br />

Mine can sometimes be different when I insert a new blade too! Sooooo......<br /><br />I designed this sheet to go in my <a href="http://sewdelish.blogspot.com/2011/05/how-to-tutorial-printing-and-organising.html">cricut handbook file</a> to keep track of the different cutting settings I use on my cricut. I always have my handbook file out when I am cutting so it is only natural I keep my cutting guide sheet with it.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.4shared.com/document/B54XJe9_/My_Cricut_Settings_by_sewdelis.html"><img alt="cricut machine expression cutting settings provocraft sewdelish cut" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5613812431265437874" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDrjVjTGs5up3u3uBfUno49iV-QCJaCzGsGFuDodJ_DA5fwasSe7JZC8UoiUiARkxXJLRvhlWV67qR76jwiHuts-PT33xIR1S6dyGC-E5EyRotdLvXRdWGLi9qaHApw1XMaof8u-XWuQ/s320/My+Cricut+Cutting+Settings+Preview+WM.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 160px; width: 320px;" title="Cricut Cutting Settings" border="0" /></a></div><br />I have left room for a small sample of the material to be glued to the page and allowed for some short notes too. This way if you have similar paper/card but a different brand you could use the settings as a starting point without wasting valuable paper making test cuts. In the notes is where I write which blade housing I have used and if the settings have left marks in the mat or torn the material so I can adjust the settings accordingly next time. I also make notes if the cuts are simple or detailed on mine.<br /><br />Click on the image above or the link below to access the free printable pdf download and leave a comment to let me know what you think. It prints on an A4 page. You can download and print as many pages as you like. They all have a patterned side and a plain side so that I can use them either way then they also coordinate with more outfits!<br /><br />They are so quick and easy to make and a great project even for a sewing beginner. The only stitch involved is straight stitch so if you have and antique or vintage sewing machine that only sews a straight this is another project you can make easily.<br /><br />I drew a simple bib shape onto some paper and used that as my pattern. The ties are made from bias binding that I already had on hand so cost was minimal.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54490/60/7C613A6126C0290B8C8532361E887185.png" style="border: 0 !important; background: transparent;"/></a></div>SewDelishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09730345691490242924noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-43991972233712126.post-22933756103679580752011-04-29T23:05:00.001+08:002011-05-11T06:52:57.934+08:00Organising My Cricut Cartridge Handbooks<div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-style: italic;">I have had so many enquiries on this post so have made a tutorial on how I print and organise my cartridge handbooks. <br />
</div>I created a one sheet wonder file on Design Studio using Plantin Schoolbook based on the template by<a href="http://community.provocraft.com/Cricut-Community_postst11059_20-Quick-Simple-Cards.aspx?find=unread"> Scrapoholic</a> on the Cricut messageboard and cut 2 pieces of patterned cardstock and 2 bazzil card. Some of the cutting lines are out of the boundary but they are easily cut with a pair of scissors. Then I made a whopping 28 cards with all the cuts!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHvNdQ4yu2SulfYKbFq5vnK_TcS6ZruREazTyYQswxN9lZ5uNXPhlL8saaDpVIlbNHD0xdOEYoIyjYSV873dMz3m9Hghgy7skOMdx7rLFWg5ydtsnZyRnmF_5vb21fa5Y0Noju5uGoWA/s1600/2+sheet+wonder+cut+file+preview.JPG"><img alt="sewdelish cricut one sheet wonder cards template design studio gypsy" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5574857656708627122" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHvNdQ4yu2SulfYKbFq5vnK_TcS6ZruREazTyYQswxN9lZ5uNXPhlL8saaDpVIlbNHD0xdOEYoIyjYSV873dMz3m9Hghgy7skOMdx7rLFWg5ydtsnZyRnmF_5vb21fa5Y0Noju5uGoWA/s320/2+sheet+wonder+cut+file+preview.JPG" style="cursor: pointer; height: 303px; width: 320px;" title="One sheet wonder Design Studio Preview" /></a></div><br />
<br />
I tried to make many of the cards both normal and tent fold so they would be more versatile and I left room on most of the cards to stamp a sentiment later as the cards are needed. I used a couple of the layouts from Scrapoholic, but most of these ended up my own design so I could make as many cards as possible. I also embossed some of the plain card and only used 2 packets of flowers to keep the cost down.<br />
<br />
Feel free to use the cut files and scraplift card layouts for your personal use only. Link photos of your cards here so I can see them.<br />

As you can imagine life has been very hectic but I am looking forward to getting back to blogging as things settle down and we get into more of a routine.<br />Naturally you can expect to see a few baby related creations. I managed to find some time while waiting for bub to arrive to get some sewing and even knitting done. So once I get them photographed I can share them with you. Until next time, bye for now.<br /><br /><span style="font-size:78%;">* Clip art above from <a href="http://hubpages.com/hub/baby-clipart">http://hubpages.com/hub/baby-clipart</a></span><div class="blogger-post-footer"><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54490/60/7C613A6126C0290B8C8532361E887185.png" style="border: 0 !important; background: transparent;"/></a></div>SewDelishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09730345691490242924noreply@blogger.com2
