Freebie - Printable Cutting Guide for Cricuts with Personality

Many of us with cricut machines know there are slight differences with the cutting settings on them as they all seem to have their own personalities! Mine can sometimes be different when I insert a new blade too! Sooooo......

I designed this sheet to go in my cricut handbook file to keep track of the different cutting settings I use on my cricut. I always have my handbook file out when I am cutting so it is only natural I keep my cutting guide sheet with it.

I have left room for a small sample of the material to be glued to the page and allowed for some short notes too. This way if you have similar paper/card but a different brand you could use the settings as a starting point without wasting valuable paper making test cuts. In the notes is where I write which blade housing I have used and if the settings have left marks in the mat or torn the material so I can adjust the settings accordingly next time. I also make notes if the cuts are simple or detailed on mine.

Click on the image above or the link below to access the free printable pdf download and leave a comment to let me know what you think. It prints on an A4 page. You can download and print as many pages as you like. PERSONAL USE ONLY THOUGH PLEASE (unless permission obtained first)

Printable Lemon Curd Recipe

Make Lemon curd Butter Recipe Download Printable Free

I made some lemon curd a few weeks ago and thought I had already posted about it, but for some reason the post seems to have disappeared. So now for attempt number 2......

Make Lemon curd Butter Recipe Download Printable Free

I absolutely love lemon curd or as some call it lemon butter. Either way it tastes divine on a slice or three of freshly home-baked bread. I use a recipe that I have had for years. Unfortunately I can't remember where I found it, I can only think it may have been a CWA Recipe book or Mrs Beeton's Recipe Book. Scroll down for the recipe.

Anyway the reason I love this recipe is that it uses whole eggs rather than just the yolks so you end up with a larger quantity and no wasted egg whites. A jar of lemon curd makes a lovely gift, perfect for hampers or just a small thank you.

I sterilise all my jars and utensils in the dishwasher and then place them in the oven at 100°C to drain and dry.

The labels I made using Microsoft publisher on the business card setting. I just placed the text and images where I wanted them and printed them out. I adhered them to the jars using clear packing tape, so it would protect the label from moisture damage (I use an inject printer) and to make them easy to remove once the jars were empty.

And now I guess you are all waiting for the recipe............

Just right click on the image that you prefer below to open in a new tab and then save to your computer or print it out.

Christmas Printable Freebies and Blog Anniversary!

I can't believe it has been exactly one year since I began blogging. I have learnt so much about blogging and the internet and I am still learning new things.

To celebrate Christmas and my blog's anniversary, I have made up some Christmas printables for you to download and use. Just click on the images you would like in this post then save to your computer or print it directly from there. You may link to this page, but please do not sell the images or place these directly on your site. These pages have been made using a combination of free fonts and an image editing program.

These are great to use for scrapbooking, making cards and even just to decorate the gifts you give. I would love to see some photos if you wish to share them. I may even feature them here.
I have also included some colouring pages for kids. They print 2 images to a page, so you can make them into a mini colouring book if you wish.

Merry Christmas to you all and thank you to my dedicated readers for your comments. You know who you are. Have a safe and wonderful Christmas.

Printable Party Favor Gift Boxes to Make

Printable Noodle Boxes Wedding Favours Gift Party Favors

I was stumbling on the web recently and came across these really cute mini noodle boxes. They are free to download and print on an A4 sheet of paper. There are so many to choose from and you just print the pages with the designs you want. Perfect for wedding and party favours

I couldn't resist having a go at making some, and with Easter just around the corner, they will be perfect to present a small gift for teachers and school friends.

Printable Noodle Boxes Wedding Favours Gift Party Favors

The noodle boxes work really well printed on card, but if you don't have any, (or you run out like I did), then just glue two sheets of printer paper together after printing. I used a glue stick and then ironed the pages to prevent them from warping.

Use your imagination to decorate the boxes. I made holes in the sides of mine with a tiny hole punch and then attached a brad or eyelet to hold it together. For the pink one I added a plain gold wire handle. The blue one only has brads at the sides. The yellow box has a beaded handle and the purple noodle box I folded with the printed side on the inside and rather than close the top I have left it open.

Add your own ideas and see what you come up with. I like to add my own twist on things when I create, but these are so pretty on their own anyway.

Printable Stickers and Labels for School

I went on a hunt on the web to find some stickers and labels for school and found stickers and charts.com where you can download heaps of pages to make into stickers. I printed off a few pages onto some ordinary A4 paper, and cut them out so we could feed them through the Xyron Sticker Machine.
Printable Stickers and Labels

I then went on a search for printable book labels and pencil name tags, for free download of course, but no such luck. So I made some myself, unfortunately no pics to show you, but I will tell you my secrets!

For the book labels, I used publisher to make a business card, that prints multiple cards on the one sheet. I deleted all the extra details like address and phone numbers and just added the name, school, class No and year. Then I changed the background design and colours to suit a child and presto! Print, cut and feed through the sticker machine before placing on books, lunch books or whatever. To make the stickers last I like to place some clear packing tape over the top to protect them.

Now the pencil name tags are more involved, so I may produce a tutorial for this at some stage later. However the basics are: use Microsoft excel or a similar spreadsheet program to make lots of narrow rows, that are long enough to fit the name. Insert the name and a small graphic font and print. All you need to do then is cut them out and apply them with some clear cellotape. I printed mine in several different colours rather than just plain black. Pencil tags are great to put on anything, not just pencils, they can be used on glue sticks, rulers and even scissors.

Almost ready for school now!

Print Your Own Wrapping Paper

I think it is much more fun when a person can actually unwrap a gift rather than just open an envelope, so on the rare occasion a voucher is given, I just have to wrap it.

I went on the hunt in my stash to find some girly, small print paper to no avail. So I grabbed some suitable fabric and instead of cutting into it, I scanned and then printed it out on a full sheet of paper. Easy peasy and just the right size I needed. I then added some gorgeous pastel pink organza ribbon to top it off. If you save the scanned copy to your hard drive you can then print out your gift wrap as many times as you like for a larger present or even make a matching card. How much better is that, than a boring envelope, printed with the store logo! Much more fun to unwrap too!

Print Wrapping Paper
The recipient normally throws envelopes away, but she has destined this beautiful paper for another use. So I guess you could say in a way it could be considered an environmentally friendly project especially if you use recycled paper in your printer like I do!
